2023 #MusicTouristBoard of Britain/Ireland Report No.2 of 4
The original Music Tourist Board is 20 years old in October 2023.
It's integral to the audiovisual artists and their allies who spawned the 2003-2004 New Cross Scene. Still looking forward.
The Self-Employed DIY sector of creativity is (usually) highly professional by necessity's instinct.
Essential: Music Venue Trust 'Big Reads' and more: https://linktr.ee/MusicVenueTrust

Every level counts. If Glastonbury isn't a hint at the potential of music tourism, then what is? Brockley Max an equally illuminating community spirit inspiration, affordably/free entry.
Music Tourist Board reality with much appreciation for the invitations:
Wandsworth Gasworks (Neko Trust HQ) launch and live show from Carpark in the car park!

August 2023 - Found on Wikipedia: under Music Tourism "The Artful Music Tourist Board is a movement, started to celebrate this in 2003 by musicians and their friends at The Paradise Bar (now Royal Albert pub) in London UK"

First draft of Music Tourist Board manifesto (in short Peace, People, Planet - Share The Joy) with thanks to Jean Genie and Dizzy Spell.
A trail of recommendations began at the #20YearsOfJoy weekend which happened at The Old Library (formerly known as Music Room studios, now expanded the live music and bar side).
"Great staging, sound, lighting in an artist friendly venue." Rock band, Deux Furieuses
Joyzine (also integral to the New Cross Scene) staged a dozen (all recommended) live pop/punky performances indoors and outdoors. For sentimental reasons, hopped a few bus stops from the old Paradise Bar to get there. There was appreciation for editor Paul Maps and his team, with every set. Event taster video clips: "A Music Tourism Trail Begins".

Many thanks again to the oft mentioned Music Venue Trust, which has elevated music tourism of the grassroots circuit to recommending "make yer own Cavern out of the experience" to new levels.
Full circle from starting the year with the Jean Genie's Massive Hugs anthem, 'Ray Of Hope (Ferret Forever) raising profile/funds for the Music Venue Trust #OwnOurVenues campaign to an extra celebratory #Glastonferret weekend at The Ferret in Preston.
Alternative. affordable, inclusive. Where do YOU recommend?
Music Tourist Board wants people to enjoy the friendly in-small-gig-fun that is an always unique experience. Use #MusicTourism to tag the original @MusicTourBoard on twitter. There is scout-sussed interdependent music industrious community of bizbuzz and media becoming self reliant.
A nation with a Wuthering Heights Day at the end of July and an August Bank Holiday blessed with Notting Hill Carnival (Europe's biggest Carnival) AND Reading/Leeds, All Points East, Glastonferret more of all sizes - over the August Bank Holiday weekend - can win back it's good reputation. Eventually.

Next. For report 3/4: Measure And Promote the local economy/social collusion in London's lower east side which is rich in musical further education, studios, arts heritage/community and potential futures. Why not treasure creativity like academia. Both can generate employment with enjoyment. Both can factor environmental concerns.
Proven to work. BritainIreland both gifted and welcomed world class names into human arts culture, especially during the rock n roll years. Working class need equity for equality and we run the positive peace of good sports into the world for balance.
